Waimea Valley
...a trip to the Waimea Valley instead of the Polynesian Cultural Center. We spent some more time in Haleiwa since it was much less crowded than on the weekend and then headed up to the Waimea Valley. It seemed like a more laid back time for a tired Kate than exploring so much at the Cultural Center, so we spent time meandering through the botanical gardens and visited the Waimea Falls. It was a great decision and we all enjoyed the break. Well, we head back home tonight...but there will be another post this week with some amazing pictures we took this morning. We're taking the red eye tonight, and will be back in Houston at 9 am tomorrow morning (and back in Lubbock at 12:45). Aloha!

We have art hanging in our house that we bought from that guy in Haleiwa that owns the woody you took a pic in front of. It's the fish stamp art. We have visited with him several times. Lura Lee
...we decided to create this blog due to the fact that we lived in a different state than our families and many of our good friends. Now we live in the great state of Oklahoma, but are still a ways from family. In the beginning we wanted to find a way to share our daily lives and our new baby. Now we keep it going because our kids keep us laughing, and we know you will laugh too. You should also know that each post will begin with the "..." because each post picks up where the title of the blog left off, "It all started with..." Welcome!

Sometimes I close my eyes and pretend I'm with you...then my pager goes off. Boo.
