It's Been A Great Weekend!

...needing to have some down time but get several projects completed too. We used to be pretty good at getting things done around the house. My house was usually pretty clean other than the occasional science project I had going in the fridge (we usually let those happen close to my parent's visits because we like to hear them gripe!). Now we just want to spend time together and with Kate when we are not working which does not translate in to doing much around the house. Lately we have been trying to do a couple of small projects on the weekends, like re-organize the pantry, take out the barely living crepe myrtles, install cabinet hardware, or just vacuum! Oh, and did I mention that I am also trying to write my dissertation? No pressure! Next weekend, however, we are going to re-do the floors in the majority of the house. We are replacing carpet with the new vinyl plank flooring they are beginning to use rather than laminate. We will post pictures!
That being said, we are still trying to limit our projects so that we can enjoy this time with Kate because we know she is a blessing and we can't get this time back. She is REALLY crawling now and it is fun to watch her enjoy her new found freedom. It seems like every minute she does something new. She loves playing "pattycake", has learned to wave at people, and is now using the "big girl" bathtub.
