Almost Finished!

...the wild idea that we could lay flooring ourselves. Of course we tricked a set of parents, this time Michael's dad and step-mom, to come help us by bribing them with the promise of time with Kate. They arrived early Saturday afternoon and we were off! I was primarily responsible for Kate that day while the rest of the crew did the yucky job of removing the old carpet. If you've been to Lubbock you can imagine the amount of dust in carpet (even when you vacuum frequently and shampoo several times a year). The floors are almost finished now. We just need to finish up a few special cut trim pieces in the hall and then put the transition pieces in. We are SOOOOOOOOO thankful for Ron and Donna's help this weekend and could not have done it without them. We'll post pictures so that you can see our progress.
