...the cabin. It's as close to camping as we are going to get. Kate thought she was really roughing it, after all we were in a new cabin with air conditioning, stainless steel appliances, a great fire pit, cozy furniture, and soon it will have cable television. It also has 2 huge decks. We spent most of our time there whether it was for breakfast or for an impromptu dance party with the kids.
The cabin belongs to Kate and Jude's new favorite person, my Uncle Bud. It was so great to see him and my Aunt Mary. It's been way too long. I can tell you it will not be that long again. I was reminded how much I love my family and that our family is too small to go that long without seeing each other. We had the best time with Bud, Mary, Michael, Leslie, and Hayla. One night everyone gathered at the cabin for a weenie roast and s'mores. Kate was more than excited that she was actually going to make real s'mores.
Something about eating outdoors makes the food taste better.
Nom nom nom nom
Kate was super excited about her new Witts Spring "Hillbilly Daze" t-shirt. Yes, there really is a "Hillbilly Daze" celebration in the town where the cabin is located...we can't make this stuff up.
