...the joy of Christmas morning as seen through the eyes of children. Nothing better than seeing the lit up faces of little ones when they realize Santa finally came to visit. From Santa's visit to Jesus' birthday, it is a magical day, and I love how much more we get to enjoy it now that we have kids to watch experience it.
Kate really figured out the whole Santa Claus thing this year, so she had been talking for weeks and weeks about what she thought Santa would bring. The only specific thing she kept asking Santa for was the "cozy Cinderella" doll in the first picture above. She wanted Cinderella to go with her cozy Belle; and Santa delivered--not only a cozy Cinderella but also a cozy Ariel.

Likewise, Santa had Kate figured out this year. Old school Disney princesses, a cheerleader uniform ("huniform"), a dance outfit, some horse things, and a fishing pole. She's so much fun...and well-rounded.

How cute is our little Jude??? Seriously, when he is smiling he just melts people. Everywhere we go there are people lining up to take him home with them. Jude seems like a Winnie the Pooh and Tigger kind of guy, or so Santa thought.
It's the little things with Kate that make a big difference. This little horse has gone everywhere with us since Christmas. It is the only Christmas present that gets played with every day. This is also why we have an overpopulated stuffed animal ecosystem in our house. The only natural predator to this poly-filled herd is Stanley who routinely picks a stray animal off from the rest of the pack. It's a veritable circle of life in the Harrington household.
The Jude and I. He loved Christmas, and he was just old enough to get into the package ripping. Most of the paper he tried to put in his mouth, but still, he had fun tearing it off the gifts. He is a very focused boy, and likes to sit by himself in the floor for long periods of time playing with his toys. He can make himself happy...that is until you try to encourage him to soothe himself to sleep. He's more of a cuddler when it comes to nap time.

My two favorite girls busy putting together toys. Don't you wish everyday could be Christmas morning?
Kate outside playing with Papa.

Kate met another family member this Christmas that she could not get enough of. Morgan, Uncle Brad's sweet Jack Russell Terrier. Kate loved on Morgan all day, and Morgan alternated between loving on Kate and avoiding her.
It was a great Christmas. We have so much to be thankful for.
