We're a Little Behind

...staying in Lubbock for Thanksgiving for the 3rd year in a row. We were home the week before and just could not justify turning around and driving back 3 days later. We have also had an incredibly busy fall so we just needed some time at home, just the 5 of us. Well, technically 6 if you count the little peanut in my belly. I count it!

Even though we missed spending time with our extended family, we ended up having a wonderful, relaxing weekend. We got an entire dinner from Market Street. For those of you back home, you are truly missing out by not having a Market Street. It was complete with all the trimmings and it was delicious. We watched the parade, the dog show, had a nap, and went to the movies. We took Kate to see Tangled and ended up liking it as much as she did. Who knew so many people went to the movies on Thanksgiving.

We are about to embark on the latest Harrington journey! Tomorrow we drive to Dallas so we can catch a plane first thing Wednesday morning to...wait for it...DISNEYWORLD! Kate is quite the little traveler. In her 2 short years she has been to Hawaii, all over Texas, Oklahoma (of course), Boston, and now Florida. Her suitcase is filling up with stickers. It's so fun. Anyways, I wanted to post about Thanksgiving before we started posting about all the amazing things we are going to do with Mickey!



Our friend Steph (aka TT) got Kate a book. It's one of those you record. She had my dad do the reading. Let's just say it is his creative version of "The Night Before Christmas." Kate loves to sit by the fire and listen to the last page over and over.

On Tuesday before Thanksgiving we went to the Special Friends Brunch at Kate's school. Here's Kate wearing a princess dress and fire hat. She's a complicated little girl! Note the red paint on her arm...it's not blood. She also had blue paint in her hair. She managed to do all of that before the brunch at 9:30.

Kate LOVES her teacher Tracey. She's been Kate's teacher for the last 2 years. We were not able to catch up with her other teacher Sarah for a picture.


Michael likes to point out all the time how Kate and I are 2 peas in a pod. Take a look at our plates after we had finished eating Thanksgiving dinner. Which one is mine and which one is Kate's?
