...Happy Thanksgiving everybody, and now bring on the Christmas season! We have been celebrating the Christmas season in bits and pieces since November 3rd, but as of yesterday the season begins in earnest. We had a terrific Thanksgiving Day despite being here in Lubbock with no family. We had an amazing lunch, thank you Market Street, with plenty of left overs. We watched the Macy's parade, the dog show, and later took Kate to see Tangled at the movies. It was a very cute Disney movie, and Kate loved it. Michael and I finished the night while Kate was asleep by watching White Christmas for the 14th consecutive year together. Ooh, so very Christmassy! We started the season off with some Black Friday shopping this morning, but nothing too early. The first store we hit was at 8, so no crazy 3 am stuff for us.
In the spirit of Christmas Shutterfly has created a cool promotion. Any blog who mentions the promotion gets 50 free Christmas cards. I love 2 things: 1) free stuff and 2) Christmas!
We have some great pictures for our Christmas cards this year, and we are super grateful about some free cards from Shutterfly! If you're family, don't be surprised--or better yet, please act surprised and excited--if you receive some Christmas presents of Kate (and us) from Shutterfly this year. Anyway, back to the Christmas cards. They have some good choices, and here are some of our favorites:
Current number #1...There's this one which looks like us.
Running a close #2...is this very Christmas one. I like the font a lot.
Trailing by a nose in place #3...we like this card because of its message to "believe in the magic of Christmas." We have always believed in the magic of this time of year.
