There She Is...

(Kate's first time to have her hair done by a hair dresser...while waiting for mommy's hair to dry. Thank you Lisa! Too bad it didn't last long.)

....Miss America 2010. We thought it would be funny to dress Kate up and take pictures in her swimsuit, while she was twirling her baton, and in a dress. We had a lot of great pictures, BUT our camera card decided to blow up--I didn't even know it was possible. So, we tried to take a few more pictures but didn't get any as good as the earlier ones. Oh well. Kate was tired and getting close to bed time, so we thought putting Sophie in a dress would make her laugh. It worked! We got a few good shots before she was ready for her bath.

Missing Daddy

...Kate getting sick on Friday night.  To make matters worse, Michael went out of town this morning (he'll be back tomorrow evening though).  I thought she was getting better this morning but as I type this she is coughing in the monitor.  I think she's just missing her daddy.  It is too sweet (and sad too) to hear her walk through the house saying "Daddy".  Lately she has started saying "my daddy" when he holds her.  I think she's working on a new sports car when she turns 16.  At this rate she'll get a Mercedes.  You can actually see him melting.  

She's not the only one melting, though.  I got a beautiful flower arrangement today.  He is just too sweet.  I'm ready for him to come back.  We're just better together, like the Jack Johnson song says. 

For you grandparents out there...relax...I'm taking Kate to the doctor tomorrow to make sure she's okay.

Bathing Beauty

...Kate's bath time.  I think it is her favorite time of day.  However, she's not the only one that looks forward to bath time.  Her puppies can't wait for bath time so they can finally relax!

...Kate learning to work it for the camera.  It is becoming increasingly hard to get a picture of her without this silly face.  Now when we get the camera out this is what we get from her.

Can Pink Be Punk?

She looks like a real little kid doesn't she? What happened to the baby in Baby Kate? So grown up looking. I have a feeling I'm going to see this look a lot in about 11 years.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

...Michael's 31st birthday. I told him last night he was on the downhill slide to 40 and he reframed it quickly. He promptly said, "I'm on the uphill slide to 35." I guess that makes sense.
Anyways, we thought we would let everyone know how great Michael is. Michael is the best man I have ever known. He is kind, compassionate, supportive, sensitive but strong, and I love him more than anything. He also gave me my amazing daughter. How could I ask for more?

Don't stare directly at the cuteness

....staring directly at the cuteness has been known to cause blurry vision, light headedness, liver spots, ulcers, hemorrhoids, ingrown toenails, and achiness of the womb (in women only). Actually, only the last side-effect has been known to occur.

Too bad she doesn't leave the dog ears in for longer than 5 minutes.
